The Optimal Cycling Project is a new & open source software program that provides the most sophisticated power pacing optimization for cyclists in races. It takes in the course profile of a race, the critical power curve of the cyclist, along with many other environment conditions and is able to consistently and efficiently generate the optimal power output of a cyclist.
The Optimal Cycling Project enables detail oriented athletes, coaches, and researchers to understand and help verify how to pace using power in a consistent and systematic way.

If you are using NotScripts in Opera 11 Beta1, you may have noticed that it does not work if you have some other extensions installed side by side, such as the NoAds, External Scripts, or AskUbuntu extensions. This is because there is a bug in Opera 11 Beta1 where having two or more extensions installed that both access the scriptStorage API will cause them to break and erase what is in scriptStorage. It can also make the extensions unresponsive. Judging from the comments I’ve seen in the pages of various extensions, many users are running into this problem with their Opera extensions.

Some users have known for the past week that NotScripts is now available for the Opera 11 Alpha browser. However, due to a Extension API change in the 1060 build of Opera 11 Alpha that the devs just released a couple of days ago, many extensions were broken including NotScripts. If you try using NotScripts v1.0.3 on the latest build of Opera, the script blocking still works but the drop down menu does not. I have submitted NotScripts v1.0.4 to the Opera Extension moderators for approval that fixes this issue. As of this post, NotScripts v1.0.4 is not yet approved. However, you can download it from my Google Code page for the time being.

NotScripts is a break through Google Chrome extension that gives you greater control over what javascript, iframes, and plugins run in your browser to increase security and lower the CPU usage. NotScripts can help to mitigate attacks like cross-site scripting (XSS) and drive by downloads by giving you control over what third-party javascript and content loads on the sites you visit.
NotScripts uses a unique and novel method to provide this “NoScript” like functionality in Google Chrome that was not previously possible. It introduces a break through technique of intelligent HTML5 storage caching to over come the limitations in Google Chrome that prevented an extension like this from being made before. This is one of the key extensions that many people have been waiting for since Google Chrome came out

I have created a very useful Google Chrome extension that blocks annoying pop up windows created by javascript. It is called Better Pop Up Blocker and has it’s own page at Optimal Cycling here: http://optimalcycling.com/other-projects/better-pop-up-blocker/

If you have Google Chrome and hate the pop ups you get when you click on the blank space or some text of video/picture/poker advertising sites, then you will definitely want to install Better Pop Up Blocker.

While I’m working on the Optimal Cycling software and getting some documentation written up, I’ve created a very useful Google Chrome extension and bookmarklet.
It is called OCP VideoPOPOUT and is allows you to pop out videos from popular sites like YouTube, Vimeo, MegaVideo, Yahoo Video, and many others. This is the most robust tool of its kind out there and also works for videos embedded in forums/blogs. I’ve tried other tools to pop out videos but they are no where as comprehensive or robust as mine.
You can grab a copy of OCP VideoPOPOUT …

Hello,
The Optimal Cycling website is currently under active development so there may be somethings broken or missing. The goal is to get most of it done in the next few days with details of the Optimal Cycling Project posted.
Thanks for your understanding,
Eric Wong
