Just got my new Samsung Chromebook 3G, and as hoped, it picked up the settings from my PC desktop copy of Chrome, including that I've installed notscript. However, it is now insisting that I set a password for notscript again on the Chromebook, even though I've already done so on the PC. The problem is, that on the Chromebook the only two locations accessible from the files app are Downloads on the Chromebook, and Google Drive in the cloud. So, how are Chromebook owners supposed to set the password? Note: I'm new to Chromebooks, but tech support for PCs.

This procedure is way too complicated for regular folks. It suffers from the malady that so many software developers are infected with -- the assumption that everyone who wants to use their stuff is a sophisticated computer user/engineer. If you really want to serve the user, then you will develop a procedure that works simply by clicking on a series of links and, most important, dump the use of computer jargon and write in just plain English.

The mac path is inaccurate.

Sure did want to use this.
Guess, I'll uninstall.

I have installed the Opera extension from https://addons.Opera.com/en/addons/extensions/details/notscripts, the version at the time of this writing is 1.1.0.

The problem after installing the extension is that I cannot access the 'Preferences' -- when right-clicking NoScript's pyramid icon, they are greyed out. The same when trying to access them via [Ctrl]+[Shift]+[E].

Double-clicking the pyramid icon instead of right-clicking it opens a blank/ window on the right side of the screen, which looks as if that was supposed to be the NoScripts settings screen. Helas, the window is empty, except for two links 'Options' and 'Home' at the top of it. Clicking them does not have any effect though.

Disabling all other extensions does not rectify the problem.

Is there another way to configure NoScripts from Whitelist to Blacklist and whatever else there might be to configure?
